Thornetta Productions is excited to officially announce that Guy Molnar has agreed to direct the first ever production of Thornetta: The Musical. We are honored to have such a talented and respected director on our team. Please read more about his impressive theatrical background below:
Guy William Molnar returned last year to Traverse City after more than a decade directing and teaching at Florida State University, The North Carolina School of the Arts, the Conservatory of Theatre at Webster University, and the Interlochen Center for the Arts. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of South Carolina and has performed and/or directed around the country at The Shakespeare Theatre, Riverside Shakespeare, the Arizona Theatre Company, Michigan Ensemble Theatre, Interlochen, and the Utah Shakespearean Festival, among others.
He is well known to Traverse City audiences for the many productions he has directed, music-directed or performed in at the Old Town Playhouse, Michigan Ensemble Theatre, and Interlochen. He has often appeared as a vocalist with area musical ensembles and choirs, and in solo recital. He also holds a Master of Music in piano performance, and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association.
